Reminisce with old friends and new as we teleport to the late 80’s and immerse ourselves in the heady days of Newcastle’s iconic LGBT nitespot Piper’s. All the fabulous showgirls, stars and crowd favourites from Piper’s heyday will be there to take to the stage once again including Trudy Burnett, Jason, Nellie, Glenda Jackson, Angela Andrews, Chanel Detroit, Chelsea and Marcia Monterey. They’ve all been rehearsing madly and are ready to bring you some of the signature spots and showtunes we all remember and love. Our special guests, back for one night only, include the legendary Verity and glamour icon Penny Clifford who were adored by crowds in the 80’s. Original Pipers DJ’s including Leif, Molly and Kerry are returning to spin all those classic 80’s Tracks and have some amazing sets lined up for the night. It’s going to be an epic and nostalgic trip down memory lane to celebrate our collective Novocastrian LGBT history. Don’t miss this important and historic event.
