Attention Newcastle Pride Community:

NOTICE is hereby given that the first Annual General Meeting of Newcastle Pride Inc (INC1800518) will be held:

Date: Saturday, 30th November 2019

Time: 10 am

Venue: Belford Function Centre, 35 Belford Street, Broadmeadow.

 

At the meeting there will also be an election office-bearers of the association (President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer) and three (3) ordinary Committee members and a Special Resolution (Changes to the Constitution).

Only current, paid members of Newcastle Pride as at today (8 November 2019) can vote and nominate for positions and people will need to produce their membership card to verify they are current members.

Current members will receive an email with this announcement – please check your junk / spam inboxes should you not receive one.

UPDATE: PRE-POLLING SESSIONS ANNOUNCEMENT FOR ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING ELECTION

Newcastle Pride has listened to our Members and is going to offer some pre-polling opportunities for voting on the proposed new constitution and election of members of the Committee. Pre-polling will take place:

Saturday 23rd November 1:30pm-3:30pm

Wednesday 27th November 5:30pm-7:30pm

Voting will also occur at our Annual General Meeting at 10:00am on Saturday 30th November.

The venue for all voting sessions is:

Belford Function Centre,

35 Belford Street,

Broadmeadow.

Newcastle Pride hopes to see as many members as possible at either one of our Pre-polling sessions or at our AGM. This is your chance to have your say and for your voice to be counted in the future of Newcastle Pride!

Newcastle Pride is excited to announce the following candidates seeking election at our first ever AGM next Saturday, 30th November 2019, and we thank them for nominating:

Due to the nominations received, an election needs to be conducted for the category of Ordinary Committee Members.

Newcastle Pride has also published an overview of the changes to the Constitution (Special Resolution Motion) to assist the membership make an informed decision when voting.
