Last Saturday,
Newcastle Pride and Queer & Now brought together members of the Newcastle LGBTIQA+ community to celebrate the start of
2023 Sydney World Pride in Newcastle. The 78er’s led the parade as we sashayed along the Honeysuckle boardwalk. This once in a life time parade was a colourful outdoor parade celebrating LGBTIQA+ culture, diversity and equality. The community turning out as truest version of themselves, creative and colourful we painted the Newcastle foreshore with a sea of pride ! It was great to see Helen (78er’s), ACON team, Tim Crakanthorp MP and team, Deputy Lord Mayor Declan Clausen join us and celebrate.
