Newcastle Pride is an inclusive, vibrant and fun not-for-profit LGBTIQA+ community based organisation established in 2018. Newcastle Pride celebrates sexuality and gender diversity in Newcastle and the Hunter Region within and outside our community. Our vision is to empower all LGBTIQA+ people to find their voice and be proud. We aspire to a safer, more inclusive future.

The Newcastle Pride Festival is an exciting, glamorous and “out n’ proud” series of events that aims to showcase to locals and visitors that Newcastle is a city of diversity, culture and beauty. The Festival is an annual event and brings our community together in unity, fostering a vibrant and supportive future community.

Having a large membership is very important to the development of Newcastle Pride, in terms of having strong community support and demonstrating to potential sponsors and funders that we are a growing organisation. It is also important for the on-going governance of the organisation.

Your support means more LGBTIQA+ communities can connect through Newcastle Pride and have a voice to celebrate with pride and hope. Our festival is a life-changing experience for LGBTIQA+ people who face barriers for loving who they love and being who they want to be.

Being a “member” of the Newcastle Pride Facebook page is important, but it is not the same as being a financial member of Newcastle Pride Inc.

Newcastle Pride Member Benefits Include:

1. Once approved you’ll be sent a Newcastle Pride Membership Card
2. Knowledge you are HELPING GROW Newcastle Pride, the Newcastle Pride Festival and its core aims of providing support and events for LGBTIQ+ people in the local community.
3. Invitation to MEMBERS ONLY events (like participating in the Newcastle Pride Mardi Gras Float).
4. The chance to purchase festival event tickets before they officially go on sale and qualify for EARLY BIRD DISCOUNTS.
5. You will have voting rights at the Annual General Meeting (held in November each year).
6. We are also working with local businesses and service providers to bring you a range of great discounts and offers EXCLUSIVE for members.
